As would be expected with an all lad Ardmore Engineering School hostel out in the countryside cars played a significant role.

In one year six cars were written off, amazingly with no significant injuries. If we said we were from Ardmore there was not an insurance company in the land that would insure us.

Some of the damage is shown here.
Rod's Imp airbourne Rod's Imp seriously grounded. I thought I was going to die that day.

I rolled it over a full 360 degrees, didn't do much damage though, just the dents each side and a few scrapes on the roof.

It was weird seeing the tops of pine trees pointing DOWNWARDS in the light of the headlights as we rolled over.

The Mangler.
Four 3rd pro guys who had all rolled their cars decided to buy an old bomb and deliberately roll it.

That turned out to be more difficult than expected, on the flat surface it would only skid. They had to trip it up against a kerb, and even then the best they got was a partial 270 degree roll.
Relatively minor damage here.
